Our story

What happens when 3 cross-border regions decide to turn their disadvantage into their benefit? Representatives of diverse business support organisations in Moravian-Silesian region, Silesian Voivodeship and Žilina region decided to come together and form a stronger voice on the startup scene in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE Startup Network). The initiative wants to balance the power of capital cities that attract promising projects from other regions.

“We wanted to connect startups, corporations and regions and thus build a strong and internationally competitive startup environment. Everyone can benefit from this network. The startups can get access to various business support services, enter foreign markets, use valuable contacts to mentors, investors and get feedback on their business plan. On the other hand, thanks to startups, corporations can find new original solutions to their problems, get contact to talented entrepreneurs, and discover new investment opportunities. We want the world to know about all the gifted people and entrepreneurs in our regions and show our dynamically developing startup environment.”

„Innovation is not only about the local market but also the regional and ultimately international market. That’s why the Startup Voucher/CEE SU activities are an ideal testing ground to give innovative companies a chance to connect with markets in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. We see this as a huge added value.

What we also see as important advantage are exchange of experience, access to knowledge, and joint substantive work with project beneficiaries. The vision is to think openly in the area of scaling start-ups, not on the local market but with the participation of experts from each country.“

“The role of the INOVIA Innovation Centre is to help innovative companies and startups to grow, scale and expand. Thanks to active cooperation with our partners from the Czech Republic and Poland, we are able to provide significantly more value to start-ups and thus help them much more efficiently on their way to success.

Engaging experts from the three countries for the success of startups, helping them to enter new markets through one entry point and bringing in useful partners from the three countries is our main vision for cooperation.”
